Leadership

Pastor Charlie has a heart for discipleship and has been preaching and teaching since 1999.  His sermons are centered around holiness, spiritual warfare and the believers authority. Pastor Charlie teaches that sanctification is a life long journey.  He is a firm believer in continuing education and is currently enrolled in Wesleyan Biblical Seminary.

Pastor Angys calling is also to discipleship and helping prepare the next generation.  She is a gifted chef with heart for children.  She holds multiple degrees in statistics, business management, and finance along with a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu.  Her strong character and integrity challenges us all.

Raised Catholic & Episcopal I was taught about Jesus but not taught that I could know him personally.
During the 60's I was the typical love child, drug taking, rebel hippie.
In 1973 I hitchhiked (walked) across the country to the mountains of Oregon from upstate New York. In the spring of 1980 my life fell apart and I lost my family. On Easter day 1980 I realized that although I thought Jesus was my savior he wasn't my Lord. Psalm 127:1 "Unless the Lord builds the house the builder works in vain." God was now going to be the builder of my life not me. After being involved in College ministries, street preaching, church start ups in Missouri, New York,  Ohio, Florida and DC I moved to Georgia and married Lin, my love, 34 years ago. Favorite things to do besides being a homebody with Lin are telling stories, leading men's groups, reading books and driving (not flying) on country roads and to distant destinations. Farming and preparing for Jesus return has become our passion (Matthew 24:16) along with mentoring men and passing on Biblical knowledge. (2nd Timothy 2:2). Reading and searching the scriptures is a daily desire and routine for me along with a lifetime goal of reading thru the entire Bible for each year of my life. A small welding service company that I started 15 years ago God keeps blessing us thru during this time of partial retirement. Lin and I are really enjoying our church Gospel Life and I am excited to be used by God with her as we journey together with the saints in Gillsville Georgia.

Glen Barfield is the Sales Manager at North Atlanta Golf Carts, leveraging his extensive experience as a retired auto dealer. Known for his expertise in sales and customer relations, Glen is also a passionate golfer who understands the importance of connection and service.  My life has been radically changed by encountering Jesus Christ. As a born again Christian, I'm grateful for the community and spiritual growth I've found at Gospel Life Ministries.

Dr. Peter Alden Roessle is a tenured full professor of Chemistry at Perimeter College of Georgia State University.  He taught collegiate level chemistry for 35 years, since earning his PhD in physical/inorganic chemistry in 1990 at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  From the perspective of Christianity, Dr. Roessle sees the mission field of science as the continual discover, study, and endeavor to understand God’s creation, from the smallest particle to the universe itself.. Dr. Roessle was born Galveston Texas in 1958, grew up near Schenectady Ny (Burnt Hills, then Pattersonville), and has been in Georgia since 1992.  Dr. Roessle has been married to his wife Joan since 1986. He and his wife reside in Buford GA along with his sister-in-law Catherine, and three cats.  A principal hobby of Dr. Roessle is the guitar.

Allen is a great neighbor and friend.  He has a heart for truth and has been with us since the beginning here in Gillsville, Ga.  He and Marie are our two giant killers who have displayed the courage and commitment to live for God and separtate themselves from the things of this world.  They are both fully committed to the lifelong process of sanctification.

Marie and Allen have both been with us since the beginning.  Her passion is to share the love of Jesus Christ with the world.  She is our local evangelist sharing the gospel wherever she goes with boldness and with the power of the Holy Spirit.
