He knows you
Before you were conceived in the womb, God knew you, and you knew Him; you just don’t remember. He tells Jeremiah in 1:5 (Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” NASB95). God has a calling for your life. He made us all to be sons and daughters. The people in ministry are not the special children of God or the only ones He listens to. He chose us to help build you up for the work of the ministry. The real ministry is right in the middle of your lives, not in a church. Jesus wants to touch people in your home, school, workplace, and everywhere you go. Many people will never cross the threshold of a church, but you will meet them at the grocery store. God knows you, God chose you, and God needs you. There is a saying, “I found Jesus.” Jesus was never lost. For many, you would bump into Him if you just turned around. Your children didn’t find you. They just grew up into an awareness of your love and sacrifice for them. It’s a life-changing event when you realize that God knows everything about you and still loves you; it was for me. (Psalm 44:21 Would not God find this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.) There comes a time when we realize that God sees us. (John 1:48 Nathanael *said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”) He’s always there, He never changes, and He loves you more than you have the ability in the flesh to understand. The closest we can get to understanding His love is our love for our children. My children could not do anything to make me love them more or less. I might not always be happy with the things they do, but that will never change my love for them. Once you realize that you are known, it will change your relationship with Him and help you discover His purpose for your life. (Romans 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.)
