# Small Group Guide: Kingdom Fragments
## Opening Prayer & Icebreaker
**Icebreaker Question:** Share about a time when you wasted something valuable and later regretted it. What did you learn from that experience?
---
## Sermon Overview
This message challenges us to be faithful stewards of everything God gives us—His Word, His anointing, our resources, and opportunities to share the gospel. Just as Jesus instructed the disciples to gather the leftover fragments after feeding the multitudes, we are called to be faithful with the "leftovers" in our lives, knowing that faithfulness in small things leads to greater responsibility in God's kingdom.
---
## Key Scripture References
- **John 6:12-13** - Gathering the fragments
- **Luke 16:10-12** - Faithful in little, faithful in much
- **Matthew 25:21** - "Well done, good and faithful servant"
- **Mark 4:24-25** - The measure you use will be measured to you
---
## Discussion Questions
### Section 1: Understanding Kingdom Fragments
1. What does it mean to "gather the fragments" in our daily Christian walk? What are some practical examples of fragments we might be leaving behind?
2. The sermon mentions that "everything happens spiritually first and manifests itself physically." How does this truth change the way we approach prayer and spiritual warfare?
3. Why do you think Jesus specifically told the disciples to gather the leftover fragments "that nothing may be lost"?
### Section 2: Motivations for Seeking God
4. The people sought Jesus not because of the signs, but because they ate their fill (John 6:26). In what ways might we be guilty of seeking God for what He can provide rather than for who He is?
5. What's the difference between a "carnal Christian" and one who genuinely seeks God's kingdom? Where do you see yourself on this spectrum?
6. The pastor mentioned people who go to church for networking, hookups, or social advancement. How can we examine our own hearts to ensure we're seeking God with pure motives?
### Section 3: Faithfulness with What We Have
7. Read Luke 16:10-12 together. What areas of your life is God asking you to be more faithful with right now?
8. The sermon states: "You have to learn to live on God's provision before you can walk in his promise." What does this mean practically? Share an example from your life.
9. How does being faithful (or unfaithful) with money relate to being trusted with "true riches" in God's kingdom?
### Section 4: Reproducing Ourselves
10. The pastor challenges us to "reproduce of ourselves" by leading others to Christ. Have you ever led someone to salvation? If so, share that experience. If not, what holds you back?
11. What are some "fragments" in your workplace, neighborhood, or family that God might be calling you to gather (people who need ministry, opportunities to share faith, etc.)?
12. How can we practically "leave signs and wonders behind us" as we follow Christ?
---
## Key Takeaways
1. **Faithfulness in small things leads to greater trust from God** - "For to the one who has, more will be given."
2. **We must be faithful with spiritual things, not just physical** - The Word, anointing, gifts, and opportunities to minister.
3. **Carnal Christians seek what God can provide; spiritual Christians seek God Himself.**
4. **We are called to gather fragments** - Minister to the overlooked, study the Word deeply, and waste nothing God gives us.
5. **The goal is to hear "Well done, good and faithful servant"** when we stand before Jesus.
---
## Practical Applications
### This Week's Challenge:
Choose ONE of the following to focus on this week:
**Option 1: Gather Word Fragments**
- Go back through recent sermons, messages, or devotionals you've heard
- Pick one truth that impacted you but you never acted on
- Study it deeper and share it with at least one person
**Option 2: Gather People Fragments**
- Identify someone in your sphere of influence who seems spiritually hungry or hurting
- Reach out to them this week with intentional love and ministry
- Invite them to church, pray with them, or share your testimony
**Option 3: Gather Resource Fragments**
- Audit one area of stewardship (finances, time, possessions, gifts)
- Identify where you've been wasteful or unfaithful
- Make one concrete change to be more faithful with what God has given you
**Option 4: Commit to Prayer**
- Follow the pastor's example of praying for church members by name
- Create a prayer list of people in your small group or church
- Commit to praying for them daily this week
---
## Reflection Questions for Personal Study
1. If I died today, would I hear "Well done, good and faithful servant"? Why or why not?
2. What "fragments" (opportunities, resources, revelation) have I been leaving to waste?
3. Am I reproducing myself spiritually? Who am I discipling or mentoring?
4. What strongholds in my thinking prevent me from operating fully in the Kingdom of God?
5. Am I faithful with leftovers in my life (food, money, time, opportunities)?
---
## Closing Prayer Focus
- Pray for faithfulness in small things
- Ask God to reveal areas where we've been wasteful or unfaithful
- Pray for opportunities to "gather fragments" this week
- Ask for boldness to share faith and reproduce ourselves
- Pray for the church to walk in unity and gather the lost
---
## For Next Week
**Memory Verse:** *"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.'"* - Matthew 25:21
**Homework:** Journal about one area where you were faithful this week and one area where you need to improve. Be prepared to share with the group.
---
## Leader's Notes
- Be sensitive to those who may feel condemned about past unfaithfulness
- Emphasize grace while challenging toward growth
- Share your own struggles with faithfulness to create safe space
- Celebrate testimonies of faithfulness, no matter how small
- Follow up during the week with group members about their chosen application
