The Foundation - Faith, Hope, and Love
Reading: 1 Corinthians 13:13; Hebrews 11:1, 6; Romans 5:1-5
Devotional: Three theological virtues form the foundation of Christian life: faith, hope, and love. Faith trusts God and His promises without needing to see proof first. Hope is the confident, absolute expectation that God will fulfill what He has spoken—not wishful thinking, but certainty. Love is sacrificial devotion to God and others, fulfilling the entire law. Without these foundations, nothing else in your spiritual life will stand. You cannot pray effectively without faith. You cannot endure trials without hope. You cannot reflect Christ without love. Before pursuing any other spiritual discipline, examine your foundation. Do you truly believe God? Do you expect His promises with certainty? Do you love Him and others sacrificially? Build here first, and everything else will follow.
