No Pain, No Gain

No Pain, No Gain - Training in Righteousness

Reading: 1 Timothy 4:7-8; Hebrews 5:14; 12:11

Devotional: Spiritual growth requires the same discipline as physical training. You don't become spiritually strong by wishing—you train through consistent practice. Bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value for everything, both now and eternally. Just as muscles grow through resistance, your faith matures through trials and intentional discipline. Solid food belongs to the mature who have trained their powers of discernment. This training isn't comfortable; discipline seems painful in the moment. But later it produces the peaceful fruit of righteousness. Stop plateauing at your current spiritual level. Push beyond your comfort zone. Study when you'd rather scroll. Pray when you'd rather sleep. Fast when you'd rather feast. Growth demands intentionality.

Reflection: What spiritual discipline have you been avoiding? What would it look like to "train" in that area this week?
