The Great Tribulation and God's Wrath
Reading: Revelation 16:1-11
Devotional: Scripture is clear: the wrath poured out during the great tribulation specifically targets those who bear the mark of the beast and worship his image—not the righteous. The locusts with power like scorpions are commanded to harm only those without God's seal. This distinction matters profoundly. God's judgment is righteous and targeted; His children are protected even while present. We don't need to fear the plagues designed for the unrighteous. Our call is to remain faithful, to refuse compromise, and to trust that the same God who protected Daniel in the lion's den and the three Hebrew boys in the furnace can keep us through whatever comes. His faithfulness to protect doesn't depend on our removal from danger, but on His presence within it.
