Resisting the Evil Inclination
Reading: James 1:13-15, Romans 7:14-25

Yet here's the truth: while our physical nature leans toward sin, we possess supernatural power through Christ to resist. The devil isn't an unstoppable force; Scripture says when we resist him, he flees in terror. Your flesh will always pull you toward self-gratification, but you're not powerless. Each temptation is an opportunity to exercise spiritual authority. When desire whispers, "You deserve this," respond with God's truth. When shortcuts seem appealing, choose the narrow path. Living godly requires conscious, daily discipline—but you have the Holy Spirit dwelling within you, making holiness possible.
