Hearing God's Voice
Reading: John 10:27-30; 1 Samuel 3:1-10
Devotional: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." Jesus didn't say His sheep might hear or occasionally hear—they DO hear. If you're not hearing God, it's not because He's silent. He speaks to all His children. The question is: are you listening?
Often we don't hear God because we don't want to hear what He has to say. Like rebellious children who avoid their parents because they know correction is coming, we busy ourselves with noise and distractions. God speaks through His Word, through prayer, through His Spirit within you, and through the body of Christ.
Hearing God requires humility—a willingness to be corrected, redirected, and transformed. Samuel heard God when he finally said, "Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening."
Application: Spend 15 minutes in complete silence today, asking God to speak and committing to obey whatever He reveals.
