Answering the Call
Reading: Exodus 3:1-12
Devotional: Moses was 80 years old, tending sheep in the wilderness, when God called him from a burning bush. Forty years earlier, he might have relied on his position in Pharaoh's household. Now, stripped of everything, he was ready to be used. God's call often comes when we're in our wilderness, when we've become nobodies by the world's standards. The question isn't whether you're qualified—it's whether you're willing to turn aside and listen. Are you paying attention to God's voice in the ordinary moments? His burning bushes appear in unexpected places. Don't walk past your divine appointment because you think you're too old, too young, or too ordinary.
