The Breastplate of Righteousness

The Breastplate of Righteousness

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:14-16

Devotional: Under the Old Covenant, the high priest wore a breastplate of judgment, entering God's presence once yearly with fear. But everything changed through Christ. We now wear the breastplate of righteousness—not earned through our efforts, but given through Jesus' sacrifice. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. This isn't arrogance; it's truth. You can come boldly to God's throne anytime because of what Jesus accomplished. Your heart ministers to God when you approach Him with gratitude rather than complaints. Like a child's unsolicited "I love you," your sincere worship touches the Father's heart. Today, come confidently before God, not because you're perfect, but because you're perfectly loved and made righteous through Christ.
