Guarded and Protected

Guarded and Protected

Reading: John 17:11-19

Devotional: Jesus prayed a powerful prayer for His disciples—and for you. He didn't ask the Father to take them out of the world, but to keep them, to guard them, to protect them from the evil one. That Greek word "keep" (tereo) means to guard within, not to remove. You're not being evacuated from trouble; you're being fortified through it. This is the Father's promise: He will preserve you in the midst of chaos. The plagues that fall on the unrighteous will pass over those sealed by God. Like Israel in Egypt, you bear the mark of the Lamb's blood. Walk confidently knowing you're hidden in Christ, guarded by the Father, and sealed by the Spirit. No weapon formed against you will prosper.
