Prophetic Foreshadowing and Divine Timing
Reading: Jonah 1-2; Matthew 12:38-41
Devotional: Jonah's three days in the whale's belly weren't random—they foreshadowed Christ's three days in the earth's heart. Jesus descended to the lower regions, proclaimed victory over death, and rose triumphant. This prophetic pattern reveals God's sovereignty over time itself. He might be softening their heart. Your obedience in that moment might be the final piece in their salvation story. Don't dismiss divine promptings. When the Holy Spirit nudges you to share your faith, act immediately—God's timing is everything.
