Wake Up!
Re 3:20’ Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21 ‘He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. This scripture is dynamic. Many people want to be close to Jesus, but they still keep Him just outside the door, just close enough to be comfortable without having to change. Many have opened the door only to close it again. The only reason we seclude ourselves is to hide our sins. Allowing Jesus to come in means you might have to give up something. You might have to sacrifice something. For most, they cling to the things that are killing them.
Isaiah cries out to Jerusalem in chapter 52:1 AWAKE!!! AWAKE!!! PUT ON THY STRENGTH. Are you asleep? Do you still have Jesus standing at the door? Are you still hiding from God in your sins? Wake up! Hear His voice and open the door. Let the old man die so that you may become new. For the person that opens the door, He will share with you an inheritance that He paid for. It’s a scary thing to have Jesus at the door. Even more dangerous for the Christians that have shut the door and turned back. I don’t want Him at the door. I want him in my home, heart, mind, business, and everything I do. Once your time is up, it’s too late; it is appointed once for a man to die and after death judgment (Heb 9:27). The time is now. Mt 7:21 ¶ “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ The horror of those Words. “depart from Me.” I want to hear ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; (Mt 25:21). You can tell just by speaking to someone if they wholeheartedly let Him in. Stop holding back. Stop holding on to the very thing that separates you from God. It’s time to give Him everything.
