Fear Not!
Worry, doubt, unbelief, and fear are all deadly cousins. Mix them, and you are guaranteed defeat. (Ps 27:3 Though a host encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, In spite of this I shall be confident.) “Fear not” appears all through the scriptures. Fear is a crippling tactic used by the enemy, both physical and spiritual. I can tell you this, but with some reservations. I have encountered the enemy, and they smell like fear. It’s not so easy to explain. Spiritually the enemy carries with them the aroma of fear. It’s a potent weapon, but only if it’s submitted to. (2Ti 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.) I have boldness and confidence in the Lord because I know His Word is true. I know that I’m a child of the Most High God and that fear and doubt have no place in my life. We only fear what we do not understand. If you know God has defeated evil, how could you fear a defeated enemy? (1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.) If you are going to fear anything, FEAR GOD. (Ps 33:8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.) When the God of all creation speaks, how could anything or anyone not be humbled? James 2:19 says, “Even the demons believe–and tremble!” It’s OK to have fear if it’s Godly fear. (Pr 1:7 ¶ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,) Our confidence, our hope, and our victory are in Christ Jesus. FEAR NOT! Is 41:10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ NASB95
