“Burning Moments”
(Ex 3:2 The angel of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush, and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. Ex 3:3 So Moses said, “I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.” Ex 3:4 When the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”). Some of you need a burning bush experience. In the Old Testament, you don’t see a lot of fellowship with God, aside from the Prophets, Kings, and Priests. In the New Testament, it’s much different. Because of the Blood of the new covenant and the habitation of the Holy Spirit here on earth, we as believers have the authority and opportunity to enter the throne room and fellowship with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In verse 3, Moses recognizes something out of the ordinary and decides to check it out and says, “I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight.”. You have to have faith to know when God calls you. Doubt and unbelief will hinder you from experiencing His presence. Once Moses took his step of faith, God called him from the burning bush (vs. 4). I have fellowshipped with Lord on a supernatural level. I have brothers and sisters in the Lord that have had burning bush experiences. Those moments come in many ways. Some in prayer and worship. Sometimes in the form of the miraculous and sometimes in the simplicities of life. God made us to fellowship with Him. By our faith in Jesus now we can boldly come to Him (Heb 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need). For Paul, it was different because God chose him and said in Acts 9:16, “for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake.”. When Paul was knocked off his horse, he still cried out in faith (Ac 9:5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?). That could have been the fasted conversion in history. However, whenever and wherever it happens for you, it will happen by your faith. Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Seeking God is the most significant investment you will ever make (Mt 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you).
