Only Believe
(Mt 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.) Is He first or last in your life? He is Father, Comforter, Friend, Defender, Commander, Creator, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. He is more than words can describe, but more importantly, He is real. He is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. You don’t have to go through any other person to get to God (1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus). You have the right to come boldly to the throne of Grace (Heb 4:16). When the revelation hits you that He is real and alive, you won’t need someone to push you into His presence. Nothing will be able to keep you from Him. It’s a relentless pursuit, an unquenchable desire to be with Him. To know His Word. To know His will. To know His heart. I’m not greedy, but I will never be satisfied until I get there. As Paul said, I would rather be with God, but people here need me, and if I have to be here, then we will get in His presence together. He owns everything because he made it all. If He owns it all, then I have everything that I need. If your child was hungry, would you feed him? If your child was sick, would you heal him? If your child was being attacked, would you come to its rescue? God loves you more than you can comprehend. He wants to take care of you. He wants to heal you. He wants to protect you. He sent His only Son to die in your place, to give you life. If you went without talking to your spouse every day, how long would it take for that relationship to crumble? Relationships are cultivated. We grow spiritually from glory to glory. Take some time to get to know Him. He is your Father. Put Him first in everything you do, and you WILL see change. When God gets in the middle of things, it has to change. Pray about everything. Say good morning, good afternoon, and good night. David was a man after God’s own heart. Abraham was a friend of God. What are you to Him? What do you want to be to Him? The first step is belief. You must believe. (Mark 5:36 Be not afraid, only believe).
