If you love Me

If you love Me

John 14:15 (NASB95) “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” You are the righteousness of God only by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus, but you’re commanded to live holy.   Somewhere during the evolution of the church, we have decided that as long you believe in Jesus, you’re saved, and you can do whatever you want.  NOT TRUE.  Grace far exceeds what my pea brain can handle, but I know that without repentance, the sin remains (Heb 10:26 For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins).  If you say, I’m a Christian and continue a life of sin; you are only deceiving yourself.   Repent and turn away from your sin.  Repent means to feel conviction for sin and do an about-face, and you don’t do it anymore.  If you are to the point that you feel no more conviction for your sins, you are on deadly ground.  (Romans 1:28 (NASB95) “And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper”).  Grace is not a free pass to live a compromised life.  There is no life outside of Christ.  You were bought with a price, and your life is not your own to live (1Cor 6:20).  We are called to live holy (1Pe 1:15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”)  Your life, character, integrity, and witness is your worship.  Worship is not just a song.  We have corporate worship at church, and it’s a powerful thing.  I’ve felt the presence of God in many worship services, but your offering and worship is a life of holiness, obedience, a sanctified life set apart from the things of this world.  God is in the details and knows everything you think, say and do.  The idea of grace allowing you to do whatever you want without consequence is a lie.  If the church was told to repent and live a holy life distinctly different from today’s society, we would have to change everything.  It would disrupt their habits and daily routines.  It would change the way they do business, and it might even change the way they conduct their church services.

John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” Would it be worth the risk if there was even a slight chance that sin could send a Christian to hell?  REPENT!!!  Seek God with a pure heart and find the truth for yourself.  If you haven’t prayed about it, then pray.  Pray like you never have in your life, and God will answer.   He desires that we all make it, but we all won’t.  (Eph 4:24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth).  Take some time and study it out for yourself.  (John 16:13 (NASB95) “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth;”).

Be blessed and be BOLD,
