Stretch your faith
(Heb 11:1 ¶ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.) My wife is a chef. She can look through the cabinets and pull out ingredients that are no good by themselves, but when she combines them, they create a unique dish. There’s nothing miraculous about anointing oil by itself, but when combined with your faith, it becomes a beacon for the Spirit of God. There is nothing miraculous about unleavened bread and grape juice, but combined with our faith, they become the body (healing) and blood of Christ (forgiveness). (Ex 8:6 So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt; Ex 9:23 Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth.) Anyone can stretch their hand out over the waters, but an act of faith directed by the Word of God makes miracles happen.
There is no power in man alone, but with faith in God’s Word, man can lay hands on the sick, and they will recover (Mark 16:18). (Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.) Without faith, you are saying that you can do it by yourself. If you think you can do it without God, go ahead and break a sweat, but it will only be in vain and with wasted efforts. It’s time to stretch our faith. It’s time we, as Ambassadors to Heaven, took a stand against the enemies of God. Like the Prophets and Apostles of their generation who carried the Word of God in themselves, we need to boldly stand and speak the Word of God over our families, work, and church. Faith says I am a child of God. I am healed. I am victorious. Faith says my children will be saved. Faith says what’s impossible to me is possible with God. Faith tells me to call those things that be not as though they were. (Romans 4:17 NKJV (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;).
Be blessed and be BOLD,
Pastor Charlie
