Battlefields

At War

It’s easy to get battle-weary whether you are a born-again babe in Christ with nothing more than a hand full of faith or a seasoned veteran with decades in the Word of God.  I saw a vision of a battlefield, and God gave me a revelation into spiritual warfare.  Many soldiers die in the field, but they will not be forgotten.  Many Christians are martyred for their faith, but God has not forgotten them (Rev 6:9 ¶ When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held).  Sniper teams of two go on strategic missions deep into enemy territory, just like our missionaries, who are sent two by two into the streets to preach.  (Mr 6:7 ¶ And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits).  In battle, your state of mind is crucial to victory.  If you can defeat your enemy mentally, you can beat them physically.  Physical and spiritual survival is about mental fortitude.  (Ro 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace).  You cannot lose heart.  Our command in battle is to stand.  Elijah just gave up after a Jezebel threatened him (1Kings 19:2-3).  He lost that battle mentally.  I know it can be tough but keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.  Soldiers can get lost in the middle of enemy territory, but they are still backed by a force greater than themselves.  Everything will change if they can get to a place where they can call reinforcements.  As children of God, we are never alone.  No matter how dire the situation is, it’s a game-changer if you can get to a place of prayer.  In war, you are going to get bloody.  You are going to get tired.  It’s easy to get discouraged, but you don’t always know what else is happening on the battlefield, like Jonah, who refused to go to Nineveh because the Ninevites murdered the Hebrew children and nailed them to the walls of the city.  What Jonah didn’t know was that God was behind the scenes preparing the hearts of the Ninevites so that when Jonah preached, the whole city was saved.  In your fight for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you will be chastised by the enemy and even by your own family.  People will try to discourage you and use your weakness against you, but like the prophets (Heb 11:33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight).  You are in a battle, a battle for your life, and a battle for all of those that are called by God.  No matter how tired you are or how wounded and discouraged you are,  stand up and take on the whole armor of God and fight the good fight of faith until your last breath.  (Re 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.)

Be blessed and be BOLD,
Pastor Charlie
